DESCRIPTION
When using a wireless peripheral device, the Power Management
notification system will report a battery level of "-1%" (negative one
percent) for the device, whenever it enters so-called "sleep mode", or
the device is turned off. In particular, this seems to affect Logitech
devices, but it is possible other wireless devices are also affected.
Ideally, impossible battery levels should be ignored.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have a wireless periheral device connected to the computer, ideally
a wireless mouse. Personally, the connection method is a USB receiver.
2. Ensure that, in the System Settings, you have notifications for
"Peripheral Battery Low" enabled (Notifications > Application
Notifications > Power Management > Peripheral Battery Low).
3. Turn the device off and on via its on/off switch.
OBSERVED RESULT
The system should notify, either by sound or pop-up (whichever was
enabled), that the battery level is negative one percent. This should
also be the case if the device is left untouched for a few minutes.
If the previous result is not observed, use a Logitech device
specifically.
EXPECTED RESULT
As with previous versions, the device's powered state should not
dictate what its battery percentage is, and impossible values such as
negative one percent, should be avoided.
