Open gwenview in a folder with images by double-clicking on an image file.
Gwenview shows the image.
Press Alt-up-arrow to go to file-list.
Use cursor keys to navigate - left/right/up/down ... all ok, every file is
reachable
Now, press Alt-up (in the file-list) once more to go to the parent directory.
(Hopefully you have more than one folder displayed now ... here, e.g. i have 8
folders visible)
Use cursor keys again to navigate - here the up/down is still working, but
left/right is not
