DESCRIPTION
When Konsole has a transparent background, it works fine when Konsole is ran as
a standalone application, but when embedded into another app, for example,
Dolphin, Konqueror, etc, it loses it's transparent background and becomes
solid. Opening the profile appearance settings when this happens shows the
error message "Konsole was started before desktop effects were enabled. You
need to restart Konsole to see transparent background." No matter how many
times Konsole is restarted, this error messages stays and there is no
transparent background.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the standalone Konsole app
2. Go to menu > settings > configure Konsole
3. Go to profiles and create a new profile
4. Select the new profile and click Edit
5. Go to the appearance tab and click +New
6. Check the box for Blur background
7. Set Background color transparency to 70%
8. Set wallpaper transparency to 0%
9. Click Ok
10. Click Ok again
11. Select the new profile and click set as default
12. Click Ok
13. Right click > Switch Profile > new profile that was created
14. Notice how Konsole has a transparent background now
15. Close Konsole and open any app that has a embedded Konsole, I will use
Dolphin
16. Press F4 to open the embedded Konsole
17. Notice how it doesnt have a transparent background now
18. Right-click the embedded Konsole and click edit current profile
19. Go to the appearence tab
20. Notice how it gives the "Konsole was started before desktop effects were
enabled. You need to restart Konsole to see transparent background." error
OBSERVED RESULT
Konsole doesnt have a transparent background in embedded Konsoles
EXPECTED RESULT
Konsole should have a transparent background in embedded Konsoles
