--- Comment #1 from Vjaceslavs Bogdanovs <[email protected]> --- ADDITIONAL: no recovery path from the GUI Once the invalid state is reached, System Settings > Display Configuration cannot recover it either: - The "Replica of" drop-down is shown only for the affected output and is greyed out, because the output is disabled. - Ticking the "Enabled" checkbox for that output leaves the "Apply" button permanently greyed out, so the change cannot be submitted at all. This is a deadlock: the replica setting cannot be cleared because the output is disabled, and the output cannot be enabled because the invalid replicationSource makes the configuration fail validation.
