glitched applet

i'm on arch linux and i recently enabled the "kde-unstable" repos in
/etc/pacman.conf. when i upgraded my system and rebooted, a notification popped
up, saying that a new display has been connected (fyi, i have a laptop and no
extra monitors, only my logitech g305 wireless mouse's dongle was connected to
my usb port.) and an applet showed up on my panel (see attachment). i have no
idea where this is coming from, it should literally be impossible to get this
in my situation.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
honestly i have no idea if this is even reproducible

1. get your hybrid graphics laptop (nvidia dedicated + intel integrated)
2. install arch with the core, extra, multilib (and their -testing variants)
and kde-unstable repos on the laptop. also make sure to be running the intel
i915 driver for the igpu, and the latest nvidia-open-dkms drivers for the dgpu.
3. login into kde on wayland
4. observe.

EXPECTED RESULT
a notification along the lines of "a new display has been connected" will
appear, and a glitched panel applet named "unknown" (see attachment) will
appear. right clicking on the applet will bring up a right click menu with only
a greyed out "configure unknown..." option there.
