I tested the steps multiple time with many image file formats. It always worked as expected. I could see the previews when hovering and right after that after selecting a file with the keyboard. Can you still reproduce this with Dolphin 26.08.1 or later? If you can, please set this back to CONFIRMED adding more information in how to reproduce the bug.
