            Bug ID: 526242
           Summary: Cmd+Backspace (Delete to beginning of line) does not
                    work on macOS in editor
    Classification: Applications
           Product: ghostwriter
      Version First unspecified
       Reported In:
          Platform: macOS (DMG)
                OS: macOS
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
On macOS, `Cmd + Backspace` (Command + Delete) is the standard system-wide
shortcut to delete text from the current cursor position back to the beginning
of the line (`deleteToBeginningOfLine:` in Cocoa). In Ghostwriter's editor on
macOS, `Cmd + Backspace` does nothing.

(`Option + Backspace` for deleting the previous word works as expected).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Run Ghostwriter on macOS.
2. Type a line of text: `Hello world, this is a test`.
3. Place cursor at the end of the line.
4. Press `Cmd + Backspace`.

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing happens. The keypress is ignored.

EXPECTED RESULT
All text on the line before the cursor should be deleted back to the beginning
of the line.

TECHNICAL DETAILS
In `src/editor/markdowneditor.cpp:994-1000`:
```cpp
    case Qt::Key_Backspace:
        if (!d->hemingwayModeEnabled) {
            if (!d->handleBackspaceKey()) {
                QPlainTextEdit::keyPressEvent(e);
            }
        }
        break;
