SUMMARY
To allow easier adjusting of a rotoscope (especially when needing to adjust the
rotoscope over multiple keyframes) I think it would be a good quality of life
feature to be able to select and move multiple points as a group.
As of now you can only move either the entire rotoscope at once or a single
point at a time but when needing to adjust the rotoscope for only one side for
a complex shape it gets quite tedious to move every single point individually
instead of moving a few points uniformly at once.
This would also help to keep the exact shape of curves that were created with
the handle bars. When you want to keep that excat curve shape, moving the two
points that form this curve individually forces you to eyeball the distance
between these points and their relative offset to each other to keep the curves
shape. Just selecting the two points and moving them as a group would fix this
problem since distance and their relative offset to each other would stay the
same.
It also seems that this already used to be a feature a long time ago (Quoting
this post from 2011):
https://kdenlive.org/news/historic/drupal/rotoscoping/
"Multiple points can be selected by holding down shift while dragging the mouse
to create a rectangular shape."
It does not seem to work anymore though and has not for quite some time judging
by old reddit and forum posts I found while trying to find out if this multi
selection is possible.
I don't think there would be a reason that this was intentionally removed
sometime in the past so maybe this might even be somewhat worthy of a bug
report. But since the trace of this feature ever existing in the first place is
from 2011 (which was 15 years ago as of making this post), I'll post this as a
feature request for now.
