Bug ID: 526275
Summary: Search in national languages (Cyrillic) is
case-sensitive
Classification: Applications
Product: digikam
Version First 9.1.0
Reported In:
Platform: Microsoft Windows
OS: Microsoft Windows
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Searches-Advanced
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
Search in national languages (Cyrillic) is always case-sensitive. There is no
issue if the names consist solely of English characters.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
If you name a file "ВДНХ.jpg", or assign tag "ВДНХ", and try searching while
varying the character case, the search proves to be case-sensitive — which
should not be the case.
OBSERVED RESULT
If you search for "вднх" or "ВдНх", the file will not appear in the results.
You must search for exactly "ВДНХ".
EXPECTED RESULT
The search should return the "ВДНХ" file or tag regardless of the case used
(e.g., "вднх", "ВдНх", etc.).
