Do you still see blur > causing such a noticeable performance drop in 6.7.5? Yes even in Plasma 6.7.5, the blur is the true culprit for slowing down animations and effects, it's most visible in launcher/panel widgets show/hide animation, appearance of logout and shutdown screens. But if I disable blur, the launcher/widgets and those two screen appears much faster and even the mouse movement becomes much easy and not anymore laggy on logout/shutdown screen. For now, in order to use Plasma like it was in previous versions (e.g 6.2 or before) I should disable blur with other slow animations like the maximize/minimize windows, plus never enable that broken night light. I used Plasma since 2020, and it truly feels like Plasma desktop starting from 6 version is dropping heavy and untested features not compatible with cheap and medium laptops, or the devs are testing them on some powerful machines where these issues are not noticeable at all. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
