Changes since the first version, after daily use: - The window is now centered in the LARGEST free rectangle left after the top-down walk, not the smallest one. The smallest maximal rectangles tend to be thin strips, which put windows at the edge of the free space. - Free slivers under 40 px are ignored. - Optional: where the walk would stop, the window may shrink (to 60% at most) to stay clear of one more window, preferring a rectangle where it keeps its full size.
