            Bug ID: 526478
Summary: Unable to disable text formatting unless the cursor is
against or is against a non-whitespace character, or
                    highlighted text
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
      Version First 6.7.5
       Reported In:
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Sticky Note widget

  Target Milestone: 1.0

DESCRIPTION
If you have previously used text formatting (bold, italics, underline,
strikethrough) and then you want to write text without formatting, if you type
a space and then the formatting option, it wont disable. Only when the cursor
is against a non-whitespace character, or text is highlighted will the
formatting be toggleable.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. With no text behind the cursor, observe that you cannot toggle a formatting
button.
2. Observe that typing non whitespace text allows you to toggle the formatting
button but it also toggles the previous text.

OBSERVED RESULT
The formatting buttons only work when text is highlighted or when the cursor is
against non-whitespace text.

EXPECTED RESULT
In my opinion, the formatting buttons are rather unintuitive. If you click the
formatting button against text, it toggles the formatting option for all the
previous non-whitespace charaters. The button should only affect what *will* be
typed, not what was. Previous text should only be alterable if it's
highlighted.
