Altarius <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Platform|Mint (Debian based) |macOS (DMG) OS|Linux |macOS CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #36 from Altarius <[email protected]> --- I can confirm a similar issue on a different platform. System: digiKam 9.1.0, Qt 6.11.0, KDE Frameworks 6.26.0, macOS 27.0.1, Apple M1 Max, 64 GB RAM, internal SSD. Collection: 3,206 files (1,186 RAF + 406 ORF + ~1,559 JPG + XMP sidecars), organized as RAW+JPG grouped pairs by filename, 18 album folders on internal SSD. Symptoms: After browsing 100–200 images in Preview or Thumbnails view, the application slows to 5–7 seconds per image when switching between images. Previously viewed images are also affected, ruling out cold cache. No activity shown in the digiKam status bar during slowdown. Restarting digiKam resolves the issue temporarily. One complete freeze requiring force quit (Cmd+Option+Esc) occurred while attempting to move 133 files to trash with the full collection visible (sub-tree active on root album). What has been ruled out: Memory pressure: digiKam using ~1.8 GB, swap at 0 bytes, memory pressure low CPU: system idle at ~95% during slowdown episodes Disk I/O: 0 bytes/sec during slowdown (confirmed in Activity Monitor) Spotlight reindexing: not active iCloud sync: disabled External drives: disconnected RAW decoding: slowdown occurs on JPG files and on already-viewed images OpenCL/OpenGL hardware acceleration: disabled (not available on Apple Silicon via OpenCL) Reproducibility: Intermittent, typically after browsing 1–2 full album folders (~100–200 images) in Preview mode. Restarting the application resets to normal speed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
