            Bug ID: 526635
Summary: Konqueror fails to open internal konq: URLs when
                    started with --mimetype inode/directory
    Classification: Applications
           Product: konqueror
      Version First 25.04.0
       Reported In:
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

Steps to reproduce:

1. Make sure no Konqueror process is running.
2. Run:
   konqueror --mimetype inode/directory konq:about

Actual result:
Konqueror does not display the internal page and reports:
Unable to create KIO worker: Unknown protocol 'konq'
The terminal output includes:
kf.kio.core: Protocol Class of url QUrl("konq:"), isn't ':local', cancelling
job.
kf.kio.core: couldn't create worker: "Unknown protocol konq"
I can also reproduce the problem with:
   konqueror --mimetype inode/directory konq:konqueror
Expected result:
The internal konq: URL should be handled by Konqueror and the requested
internal page should be displayed.
Additional information:
Opening konq:about or konq:konqueror directly in a normally running
Konqueror window works correctly.
Opening a normal directory also works correctly:
   kfmclient --mimetype inode/directory openURL file:///home/satoru
I initially encountered this after selecting Konqueror as the default file
manager in KDE Plasma. In that configuration:
   $ xdg-mime query default inode/directory
   kfmclient_dir.desktop
and /usr/share/applications/kfmclient_dir.desktop contains:
   Exec=kfmclient --mimetype inode/directory openURL %u
During the original failure, the running Konqueror process was:
   /usr/bin/konqueror --mimetype inode/directory konq:konqueror
Environment:
Debian GNU/Linux 13 (trixie)
Konqueror 25.04.0
KDE Plasma 6.3.6
Wayland session
