--- Comment #11 from Mark Cockram <[email protected]> --- (In reply to caulier.gilles from comment #10) > How did you extract the video frame ? Using ffmpeg i hope Yes. But I should clarify a bit more on this page specifically. Mainly: this is an experimental proof of concept branch and is not intended for production. At best it can be temporarily launched to tag videos with People tags, to then go back to upstream. This is a port of another private branch I made for personal use. I did not create it with any regard for quality problems or merging into master. It is not good code. I decided to publish it because at least 2 people asked me specifically for a bare-bone batch queue manager script I wrote months ago. Now that I have this integrated implementation of video face tagging that suits my and their needs it's public for tinkering. Up-streaming it means redesigning it, not cleaning it up. A complete rewrite. In the comment above I only intended to mention it exists for experimentation so it is discoverable for rare use. I just ran an analysis check to gauge how feasible it would be to port/re-implement. It is a big project. Two data related problems: - Premature deletion of unconfirmed video face tags before completion of scan (videos only). Affects crashed or interrupted scans. Only risks new branch related data. Safe backwards compatible. - Unguarded XMP metadata writeback (videos only). Bloats XMP sidecars with redundant 2D rects. Problem persists when switch back to upstream. Annoying. Fixing as we speak. Other known benign bugs: eager full-resolution frame decoding memory bloat, racy last-frame completion detection, missing cross-frame face tracking, uncapped face classifier training, fragile four-way string-encoded face identity, UI classes absorbing pipeline and detection logic, unrelated audio device switching and global key filters in preview, unaligned thumbnail face similarity recalculation, getDurationMs integer overflow on unknown streams, and unhandled video rotation metadata. I also found that the wiki page is not clear of experimental intent and that backups are non optional. Updated it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
