I'm sorry but kup has some UI issues from my point of view.
1. you can's run an backup from the setting kup menu. You can Duplicate,
Konfigure, Delete but there is no Run backup for manual start.
2. Backup type
There should be a more clear description maybe with visual examples to know
what each backup type did. In the end ethere is (prefered) with description,
but the other option has no description at all.

that's great and very simple. as kup is in system settings, by default I would
prefer to have checkboxes checked by .config so you can backup also system
settings with kup

great that you can select there external storages by default, but the folder
wasn't easy to recognize where the backup was stored. I would prefer to have
there also an file tree start from the (different) external devices
4. plan
it would be nice to have there also an (recommanded) label to the prefered
setting as it was in type. Also an description (maybe with some visuals) would
be nice
