            Bug ID: 526651
Summary: Mousepad help text says "Use a long press to drag'n
drop" but that gesture only works when "Hold to drag"
                    mode is selected
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kdeconnect
      Version First unspecified

                OS: Other
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR

  Target Milestone: ---

The Mousepad help text (`mousepad_info`, `src/main/res/values/strings.xml:81`)
states:

> Use a long press to drag'n drop.

But with default settings this gesture does nothing. Observed behavior:

1. Fresh install / default settings, open Mousepad. The default drag gesture is
**"Double tap to drag"** (setting: *Drag & drop gesture*, pref
`doubletap_drag_enabled`, default `true`).
2. Long-press the pad and move → cursor moves but nothing drags; long-press is
a complete no-op (no haptic, no button hold, no packet sent).
3. Double-tap, then move → drag works.
4. Switching the setting to **"Hold to drag"** makes long-press work exactly as
the help text claims (haptic tick + button hold → move → release).

So the help string describes one selectable mode while the default mode
silently disables that gesture — conflicting guidance.

Tested on: Ubuntu 26.04 / GNOME Wayland, current FDroid build of KDE Connect
Android: 1.35.17.

## References (master @ 93b3d25f)

- `src/main/res/values/strings.xml:81` — `mousepad_info`, hardcoded "Use a long
press to drag'n drop"
- `src/main/res/values/strings.xml:579-580` — `double_tap_to_drag` ("Double tap
to drag") / `hold_to_drag` ("Hold to drag")
- `MousePadActivity.java` `onLongPress()` — only sends `sendSingleHold()` when
`!doubleTapDragEnabled`
- `MousePadActivity.java` `onDoubleTap()` — with the pref on, sets
`maybeDragging = true`; drag engages after the move threshold
(`MinDraggingDistance2`)

## Suggested fix

Make the help text reflect the currently selected gesture (e.g., load the label
from the same preference)
