Same backtrace as comment 10. On my system (openSUSE Slowroll, Plasma 6.7.5,
KF 6.29.0, Qt 6.11.2, Wayland, locale zh_CN),
Discover freezes on the Browsing page right after launch — no resizing needed.
Main thread spins at 100%+ CPU, RSS keeps
growing, and it eventually aborts with SIGABRT. Installed/Search pages are
fine.

I bisected the fonts with FONTCONFIG_FILE and it turned out to be the Inter UI
font, not the CJK fallback. With my normal
setup (Inter + NotoSansCJKsc-VF fallback) it freezes; switching only the UI
font to Noto Sans fixes it, while keeping the
CJK fallback untouched. I also tried forcing the CJK fallback to the static
Source Han Sans CN while keeping Inter — it
still froze, so the variable CJK font is not the cause.

So it looks like Inter.ttc (as shipped by openSUSE) is the trigger, probably
via its font metrics in the layout. Workaround
for users: set the UI font to something else (e.g. Noto Sans 10pt) in
~/.config/kdeglobals [General] font=.

Worth checking Inter specifically when trying to reproduce.
