Bug ID: 526684
Summary: Image -> Trim to Image Size doesn't work with
animation layers
Classification: Applications
Product: krita
Version First 5.3.4
Reported In:
Platform: NixOS
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Animation
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
"Trim to image size" with an animation doesn't remove the data outside of the
canvas. If the image is not an animation, it does work correctly, so this
points to some incompatibility with the animation system.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Make an animation layer and frame.
2. Make some marks inside and outside of the canvas (as if you were drawing
normally and your stroke ended up outside of the canvas.
3. Move the layer around to observe that the transform indeed captures data
outside of the canvas.
4. Undo so that the marks outside of the canvas stay there.
5. Click Image -> Trim to Image Size
6. Move the layer around again.
OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing changed, the layer did not get trimmed; You will observe that the the
transform still grabs data that was outside of the canvas.
EXPECTED RESULT
The layer is trimmed to the canvas extents, nothing outside of the canvas
should exist anymore, and the transform should only grab data that is inside of
the canvas extents at this moment.
