--- Comment #1 from [email protected] <[email protected]> --- Update from the Exiv2 side, and a question. The Exiv2 maintainers have declined to backport the XMP thread-safety fix (PR #3448, issue #3449) to the 0.28.x branch: the PR is too large for a point release, and any further 0.28.x releases will only take small bug fixes. The fix will ship in Exiv2 0.29.0, which they hope to release fairly soon, but there is no date yet. See https://github.com/Exiv2/exiv2/issues/9514 So the 0.28.x line that digiKam bundles will not get the fix. My question: would you consider carrying PR #3448 as a patch on the bundled Exiv2 0.28.x in the digiKam bundles until 0.29.0 is released? Or would you rather wait and move the bundles to 0.29.0 once it is out? For scale, the PR is 49 files changed, +951 / -412, merged to Exiv2 main in February 2026: https://github.com/Exiv2/exiv2/pull/3448 Either answer is fine, I would just like to know which to plan around. I am still happy to test a build on my 130,000-image collection and report measurements. Thanks. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
