Bug ID: 526715
Summary: Undo deletes files over SFTP after connection is
closed
Classification: Applications
Product: dolphin
Version First 26.08.0
Reported In:
Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: minor
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
When a split window or tab, that has an SFTP connection open, is closed
pressing undo (CTRL+Z) reconnects to the server and undoes changes. This seems
like unclear behavior, as it does not make sense that changes can be made over
an SFTP connection that does not appear to be open. This is not related to SFTP
specifically, and I would expect the same to happen with other protocols.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Split a view or open 2 tabs
2. Open an SFTP connection on one split side, or on the other tab
3. Transfer a file from your machine to the server over SFTP
4. Close the side or tab that has the SFTP connection open
5. Press CTRL+Z or Edit > Undo
OBSERVED RESULT
The transferred file is deleted from the server.
EXPECTED RESULT
Nothing.
