While re-testing, I notice that the lag is not very noticeable with a mouse wheel, but it's very noticeable with a touchpad two-finger scroll gesture. With a touchpad, what happens is that it's smooth for a moment, then seems to kind of get stuck for a second or so. Then it resumes.
