Because the jobs run inside Dolphin's process, the second job changes the working directory of the first one, and libzip can no longer open the source files. "Failed to open archive. Code: 9" is the follow-up listing of an archive that was not written. With the same parent folder both jobs set the same working directory, which would explain why that case works.
