            Bug ID: 526915
Summary: Plasma freezes when mounted smb/cifs share is not
                    reachable
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
      Version First 6.7.5
       Reported In:
          Platform: Fedora RPMs
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: major
          Priority: NOR
         Component: generic-performance
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: 1.0

DESCRIPTION
I have several SMB shares on my local network mounted. They are auto-mounted to
/run/smb4k/$USER using smb4k and added to 'places' in Dolphin. When network
connectivity to the SMB server is interrupted, due to network cut or bandwidth
being saturated, plasma's taskbar (task manager?) completely locks up,
including the Application Launcher and the System tray icons and notifications
or widgets that were opened at the time of the freeze. Plasma will only
unfreeze if connectivity comes back. Trying a restart with `systemctl --user
restart plasma-plasmashell --force` makes the command hang for a while, after
which plasma enters a crashloop.

Previously reported in 441077

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Mount an smb share to the system and add it to 'places' in Dolphin
2. Cut network connections

OBSERVED RESULT
- Plasma's taskbar and associated elements freeze
- Repeated entries in systemd under 'kwin_wayland' (not sure if related):
  - Could not delete texture because no context is current
  - Could not delete render time query because no context is current
  - qrc:/qt/qml/org/kde/kwin/overview/qml/Main.qml:851:5: QML Connections:
Implicitly defined onFoo properties in Connections are deprecated. Use this
syntax instead: function onFoo(<arguments>) { ... }

EXPECTED RESULT
Plasma does not freeze and throws an error when attempting to access a network
filesystem that is not reachable

KDE Frameworks Version: 6.30.0
