Mark <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #6 from Mark <[email protected]> --- Going to add on to this one as I'm experiencing the same issue. I just upgraded to 26.04 from 24.04 and performance went way down. I play Elder Scrolls Online and everything became jittery, FPS dropped from 100 to 25. Some game features like lockpicking were nearly impossible to perform as things were so jittery. To recreate, just install ESO and try to play. Find a chest out in the world and see if you can open it. Anything higher than intermediate is pretty much impossible, and I used to open them all easily before the upgrade. Other games I play seem ok, but every now and then the game will just freeze for about 10 seconds, then come back and everything is ok. This seems more related to Steam games though. The one or two games I play outside of Steam don't seem to have as much trouble. As mentioned above, the solution was to install Gamescope and run it through there (thanks guys), bypassing Wayland all together. That is a good workaround, but Wayland needs work if this is the future of Linux. Probably needs to be reported in the Wayland bug tracking, but KDE made the decision to dump X11, which was a good gaming platform, for Wayland, so it needs to be reported here. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
