DESCRIPTION
When trying to sort a folder full of images (i.e. Screenshots) by the images'
dimensions (be it width, height or just "dimensions", the files are instead
sorted by the backup/default metric (name, date, etc).
When hovering over the image file, the details pane shows the image's
dimensions correctly. When switching to a column view and displaying the
Width/Height/Dimensions columns, the entries are empty (I suppose that's why
sorting doesn't work in other views as well)
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
preparation:
1. select an image file
2. in the main menubar, check "View -> Show Preview" or switch it on with f11
3. right-click on a preview pane, click "configure..." and check "dimensions,
height, width"; save the configuration
actual reproduction:
1. Go to location containing images
2. Right click and choose sort by -> image -> height (or width, or dimensions)
b) alternatively, you can switch to column mode and make the
height/width/dimensions columns visible (will be empty), then click on them to
sort by their values
3. Check the details on preview pane and compare the values with how the images
are sorted and/or the values within the columns
OBSERVED RESULT
the entries in "dimensions/width/height" columns are empty and the files are
not sorted by the chosen options
EXPECTED RESULT
the entries in "dimensions/width/height" columns are populated with appropriate
values and the files are sorted accoringly
