--- Comment #3 from [email protected] --- Don't get pissy with me, it will get this bug closed and you banned from this bugtracker. If you want to get the problem fixed, it's in your interest to be cooperative. The steps to reproduce don't really get me anywhere. Steps 1, 2 and 3 are clear. Step 4 says "copy the selection". If I literally do that, it that means I copy the selection itself. Except then step 5 doesn't make sense, because you can't paste a selection onto itself, so I have to first select a layer to paste it into. But then if I do that, they line up just fine. Alright, I can guess that you don't actually mean to copy "the selection", you mean to just copy the contents with Edit > Copy or Ctrl+C. But then if I paste it using Edit > Paste or Ctrl+V, it just pastes the contents into a new layer and obliterates the selection in the process. So that can't be it either, I obviously can't move the selection if it's gone. I can vaguely guess that you're talking about something relating to the (disagreeable) auto-trimming behavior of the selection, see https://krita-artists.org/t/dont-trim-image-and-preserve-alpha-when-copying/119301/ But something is missing in translation here presumably, since it doesn't really have an effect when you paste into Krita. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
