Zamundaaa <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|REPORTED |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |DUPLICATE --- Comment #15 from Zamundaaa <[email protected]> --- > Does that mean the compositor sticks to one GPU (the first it decides to use) > for rendering and refuses to use the other GPU later? It just means there are still general issues with interoperability between Nvidia and other vendors. https://invent.kde.org/plasma/kwin/-/merge_requests/9668 will paper over almost all of them for Wayland-native apps at least. For X11 apps, it's not something that will realistically ever be fixed, because both the protocol and the implementation in Xorg have big limitations around multi-GPU handling. You can likely use gamescope as a workaround in the future though, so it starts a whole new Xwayland instance on a different GPU. > I assume this causes kwin to stop copying render buffers, or disables some > Nvidia-related bad code No, you just accidentally hit different code paths that can't assumed to work. Nvidia requires modifiers, and I'll likely remove that environment variable at some point because people just accidentally break their setups with it. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 452219 *** -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
