Bug ID: 527057
Summary: Koko does not preserve aspect ratio when the region
reaches canvas bounds
Classification: Applications
Product: Koko
Version First 26.08.0
Reported In:
Platform: openSUSE
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: General
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enter the built-in image editor
2. Specify a fixed aspect ratio like 7:5 when cropping a wide image
3. Extend the rectangular selection to the full image height
OBSERVED RESULT
The selection's width is not limited by the aspect ratio, so upon cropping the
image does not match the specified ratio.
EXPECTED RESULT
Cannot make the selection wider than aspect ratio allows.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20261010
KDE Plasma Version: 6.7.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.30.0
Qt Version: 6.11.2
Kernel Version: 7.2.9-1-default (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I also noticed that if I change the aspect ratio to a more square one when the
current one fits height, the selection is instantly updated to extend pass the
canvas until I resize it.
