GIMP rendering incorrectly on 5K monitor — artwork visible only in upper-left
corner

**System:** Bazzite Linux, KDE Plasma 6.7.5

**Issue:**
When opening a 10,000 × 8,200 PNG image in GIMP on my 1440p monitor, the image
displays correctly. However, when moving the GIMP window to my 5K monitor, the
image appears incorrectly rendered.

The artwork is visible only in the upper-left portion of the canvas, while the
remaining area displays a transparency checkerboard pattern.

**Steps to reproduce:**
1. Open a 10,000 × 8,200 PNG image in GIMP on a 1440p monitor.
2. Confirm that the image displays correctly.
3. Drag the GIMP window to a 5K monitor.
4. Observe that much of the image appears replaced by a transparency
checkerboard.

**Expected result:**
The complete image should render correctly on both monitors.

**Actual result:**
The image appears partially rendered on the 5K monitor.

**Additional information:**
The same PNG displays correctly in a regular image viewer. The problem appears
related to moving GIMP between displays with different resolutions or scaling
configurations.

Screenshots showing the correct rendering and incorrect rendering are
available.
