[email protected] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #1 from [email protected] --- Same issue here on CachyOS, Plasma 6.8.0 (libplasma 6.8.0-1 and 6.8.0-1.1), Qt 6.12.0, Wayland, NVIDIA. Started right after upgrading from 6.7.5; plasmashell now times out on every logout/shutdown. Stopping plasmashell on its own (systemctl --user stop plasma-plasmashell) exits in about 1 s, so it only hangs during a full session teardown. My backtrace matches: the main thread is in QThread::wait() called from Qt Quick during QObjectPrivate::deleteChildren() under DialogBackground → ~QQuickWindow. Disassembly of that frame shows postEvent, deleteLater(), then QThread::wait(), which matches QQuickPixmapReader::~QQuickPixmapReader(). The QQuickPixmapReader thread itself is idle in its event loop (QEventLoop::exec → ppoll) and never quits, so the engine's pixmap reader thread doesn't exit while the engine is being destroyed at shutdown. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
