Bug ID: 527173
Summary: Monitor refresh rate capped at 30 hz
Classification: Applications
Product: systemsettings
Version First unspecified
Reported In:
Platform: Arch Linux
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: major
Priority: NOR
Component: kcm_kscreen

Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
Display configuration does not list 60 Hz as a refresh rate for resolutions
higher than 1080 x 1920 on my monitor. 3840x2160@60Hz was working fine with x11
but now that KDE made Wayland mandatory that is not an option.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use a Samsung Series 6 4K Television for a monitor
2. Use an Nvidia graphics card (I don't have another card to test against)
3. Uninstall x11-session
OBSERVED RESULT
Under the 3840x2160 resolution selection only 30 Hz or lower appears under
refresh rate.
EXPECTED RESULT
60hz rate as an available selection under refresh rates, like it was in
x11-session.
