--- Comment #2 from [email protected] --- Fixed on the Fedora side: im-chooser 1.7.7-2 (Fedora bug 2547768, CLOSED/ERRATA, now in Fedora 44 stable). The Peer.Ping probe is gone; availability is checked with org.freedesktop.DBus.NameHasOwner, and the org.kde.Shutdown proxy is created with DO_NOT_LOAD_PROPERTIES | DELAY_MESSAGE_PROCESSING instead of flags 0, so it no longer emits StartServiceByName. Verified live on Plasma 6.7.5 (Wayland) with 1.7.7-2: opening the Input Method Selector no longer creates dbus-:[email protected], and plasma-shutdown stays unloaded. The Plasma-side behaviour may still be worth fixing: once activated, plasma-shutdown stays resident, and ksmserver-logout-greeter then exits with "org.kde.Shutdown D-Bus service is already registered; quitting" even though no logout is in progress. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
