Confirming comment 13: after a fresh boot, baloo_file's environment (/proc/<pid>/environ) contains no WAYLAND_DISPLAY/DISPLAY, while `systemctl --user show-environment` does (WAYLAND_DISPLAY=wayland-1). 807 extractor crashes in ~3 minutes of uptime on the previous boot. Confirming the workaround from comment 14 survives a reboot: with ~/.config/systemd/user/kde-baloo.service.d/override.conf [Service] Environment=QT_QPA_PLATFORM=offscreen there are zero "Extractor crashed" entries after reboot and indexing proceeds normally (only the expected KIdleTime "no system poller" warnings). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
