[email protected] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #10 from [email protected] --- Confirming on stable Plasma 6.8.0 / Qt 6.12.0 The original report was against 6.7.90 / Qt 6.12.0 beta/rc, so I'd like to confirm this also happens on stable releases: - CachyOS (Arch-based), Plasma 6.8.0, Qt 6.12.0 (qt6-base 6.12.0-3, qt6-declarative 6.12.0-1.1), KWin Wayland. - 4 virtual desktops, Pager widget in the panel. - Happens intermittently (roughly half of shutdowns). plasmashell ignores SIGTERM and systemd kills it after TimeoutStopSec=40s (plasma-plasmashell.service: State 'stop-sigterm' timed out. Killing.). Main thread at the hang: #4 QThread::wait(QDeadlineTimer) #5 QQuickPixmapReader::~QQuickPixmapReader() #6 QQuickPixmapReader::~QQuickPixmapReader() #7 QObjectPrivate::deleteChildren() #8 QObject::~QObject() ... #14 QQuickWindow::~QQuickWindow() The QQuickPixmapRea thread is alive in QThread::exec() → QEventLoop::exec() → ppoll() and never exits. An strace shows the main thread waking it via eventfd; the thread reads the event and goes straight back to ppoll(), then the main thread blocks in a futex until SIGKILL. Removing the Pager widget makes shutdown immediate again. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
