            Bug ID: 527470
Summary: Night light not displaying correctly in Chromium-based
                    browsers
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: kwin
      Version First 6.8.0
       Reported In:
          Platform: CachyOS
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: night color
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

DESCRIPTION
Since the upgrade to Plasma 6.8.0, the night-light tinting does not work
correctly in Chromium-based browsers under specific conditions.

1. I run a multi-monitor setup, and this only occurs on the monitor identified
as '2' in the display config.
2. When the window is maximised, elements within the browser window display
using non-tinted colours, which appear very odd against the warm night light of
everything else.
3. When the window is not maximised, even if dragged to the full extent of the
screen, this does not occur.
4. Additionally, all colours return to night-tinted when the mouse hovers over
hyperlinks within the browser window.

This behaviour can be reproduced in Brave Origin, Chromium and Edge when the
conditions above are met. The problem does not occur in Firefox. No other
windows or elements of the UI are affected by this problem.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Ensure night-light is on
2. Open any Chromium-based browser and maximise it - the colouring of some
elements is incorrect
3. Hover the mouse over any hyperlink - colours change back to night-tinted

OBSERVED RESULT
Night-tinted elements within the browser do not display correctly when the
conditions noted above are met

EXPECTED RESULT
Night light is unaffected by choise of broswer

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: CachyOS
KDE Plasma Version: 6.8.1
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.31.0
Qt Version: 6.12.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This issue is not captured by a screen recording using Spectacle - colours in
that video appear normal. A video taken on a mobile phone can be viewed at
https://youtu.be/HyqMWrtGCWc

This issue appears similar to 526081 but is expressed differently on my system.
