doesn't sound very practical to me, Fasttracker II Clone uses Alt-F3 and Alt-F4
as some of its editing keys so it wouldn't make much sense to pass them to the
program and also have KWin trigger the action bound to them

if it matters, the program is written in SDL2, and one of SDL's hints that get
enabled in the Windows build of it is `SDL_WINDOWS_NO_CLOSE_ON_ALT_F4`ยทยทยท this
blocks Windows from closing the window if Alt-F4 is pressed, and while i have
no idea how it works and how reliant it is on the Windows API, at least
something like this is what i'm looking for

isn't that what "Ignore global shortcuts" already does? this is what i use for
FTII if i wanna use the aforementioned key shortcuts, and then i disable it
when i'm done

well me neither, but considering it's Wayland it probably wouldn't be easy to
understand anyway xD
