            Bug ID: 527551
Summary: Yakuake activation switches to the virtual desktop
where it was first launched (Plasma 6.8.0, Wayland)
    Classification: Applications
           Product: yakuake
      Version First 26.08.0
       Reported In:
          Platform: openSUSE
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

DESCRIPTION
Hitting the assigned key for showing/hiding the yakuake drop-down window, it
should be shown imediately on the current Activity + Virtual Desktop. Instead
the Virtual Desktop and Activity switch to the one where yakuake was first
launched.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Hitting assigned show/hide key (F12)

OBSERVED RESULT
Current Activity and Virtual Desktop switch to where Yakuake was first
launched, then the yakuake window is revealed.

EXPECTED RESULT
Yakuake window should be revealed immediately on the current Activity + Virtual
Desktop

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20261018
KDE Plasma Version: 6.8.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.31.0
Qt Version: 6.12.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I have yakuake on autostart, so it switches to Desktop 1 on the Default
Activity always before showing yakuake.
I confirmed that it switches to the VD + A where yakuake was launched by
closing yakuake, switching to another desktop/activity, launching yakuake from
the app launcher, hide it, then switching somewhere else. Hitting the show
button brought me back to that same activity/desktop.

I tried checking/unchecking several settings with no effect on this behaviour:
- show on all desktops
- keep window open when it looses focus
- use open/retract action to focus window

There is a drop-down menu "Open on screen:" The option "At mouse location" is
selected, but the drop down menu is "greyed out" and can not be used.

I tried forcing yakuake to all desktops/activities with window rules, also
didn't help

Although i marked this normal, the current behaviour kind of defeats the
purpose of a drop-down terminal.
