[email protected] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #4 from [email protected] --- I'm seeing the same symptoms on CachyOS/Wayland with an AMD + NVIDIA hybrid setup, using HDMI rather than DisplayPort. System: - KWin/Plasma: 6.8.1 (previously 6.8.0) - Kernel: 7.3.0-2-cachyos - Mesa: 26.2.4 - Qt: 6.12.0 - NVIDIA driver: 615.78.08, open kernel modules KWin renders on the AMD Radeon 890M using OpenGL ES/EGL. The internal eDP display is connected to AMD, while the external HDMI display (3440x1440, approximately 85 Hz) is connected to the RTX 4060 Laptop GPU. Only the external display is affected. The taskbar and portions of application windows flicker, sometimes briefly revealing the desktop background. Moving the pointer and selecting a rectangular capture area in Spectacle make the problem particularly noticeable. The internal display remains unaffected. This workaround eliminated the flickering for me: KWIN_DRM_FORCE_GL_FINISH_MGPU_COPY=1 I applied it through an Environment= entry in a systemd user-service override for plasma-kwin_wayland.service, then started a new Plasma session. No package changes were needed for this test. KWIN_DRM_NO_DIRECT_SCANOUT=1 was already set when the issue occurred, so that setting alone did not prevent it. I have not tested KWIN_ALLOW_VULKAN_MGPU_COPIES=1 from comment 2. My original update also upgraded the kernel from 7.2.10 to 7.3.0, so I have not independently isolated the regression through a KWin-only downgrade. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
