DESCRIPTION
- Started after today’s 6.8.0 → 6.8.1 upgrade.
- AMD Renoir integrated GPU renders KWin; NVIDIA GTX 1650 Mobile drives
external HDMI.
- Konsole, Dolphin and Signal glitch on the external display, but not the
laptop panel. Spotify appears unaffected.
- KWIN_DISABLE_VULKAN=1 appears to resolve it.
- NVIDIA 615.78.08, Mesa 26.2.5, kernel 7.2.11-arch1-1, Qt 6.12.0,
EndeavourOS/Wayland.
- KWin logged Error creating EGLImageKHR: "EGL_BAD_MATCH" before the workaround
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Upgrade to kwin 6.8.1 and reboot system
2. Launch konsole, dolphin (probably any kde app) on external display
OBSERVED RESULT
Glitches of entire or part of applications windows, especially when one app is
on top of another app
EXPECTED RESULT
No glitches
