            Bug ID: 527653
Summary: UI Delay on Notification widget in System Tray causing
                    unintended behaviour
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
      Version First 6.7.5
       Reported In:
          Platform: Fedora RPMs
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Notifications
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: 1.0

DESCRIPTION
The notifications bell icon in the system tray takes SO long to respond to a
click that often it seems like the click didn't succeed and by the time the
menu comes up, the user has already clicked again, accidentally dismissing the
menu that they tried to pull up.

This is particularly annoying when you have the icon set to "Show when
relevant", as the icon dismisses itself the moment it's clicked, so upon
accidentally dismissing the window means you have to go hunting for it in a
submenu in the system tray to access it again.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set the notifications widget in the System Tray to "Show when relevant"
2. Receive a notification
3. Click the notification icon in the system tray.

OBSERVED RESULT

4. Notice how occasionally it will take several seconds for the pop-up menu to
appear.
5. Notice how as a user you could be lead to believe that your initial click
didn't work.
6. Notice how clicking again on the system tray dismisses the pop-up menu, even
if the click is done BEFORE the pop up menu is rendered on screen.

EXPECTED RESULT

The menu should either appear right away, and show some sort of indication that
it's loading, OR the menu shouldn't be dismissed by a click until the click is
made about 200ms AFTER the menu is rendered on screen.
