DESCRIPTION
I updated a Fedora 45 KDE desktop installation with Plasma 6.7.5 and KDE Gear
26.08.1 to Plasma 6.8.1 and KDE Gear 26.08.2 with dnf offline-upgrade. In
Plasma 6.8.1, the Application Launcher's Favorites menu showed Kate twice.
Using the Application Menu and Application Dashboard, Kate was also shown
twice. Kate was shown once in the All Applications, Development, and Utilities
menus of the Application Launcher. So the duplicate Kate icons are only in the
Favorites menu. I'll attach an image of the Application Launcher's Favorites
menu with the two Kate icons. This problem didn't happen with Plasma 6.7.5.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. update a Fedora 45 KDE desktop installation with Plasma 6.7.5 and KDE Gear
26.08.1 to Plasma 6.8.1 and KDE Gear 26.08.2 with kate installed using dnf
offline-upgrade
2. start Plasma 6.8.1 on Wayland
3. open the Application Launcher's Favorites menu
OBSERVED RESULT
Kate was shown twice in the Favorites menu in Plasma 6.8.1
EXPECTED RESULT
Kate should've been shown once in the Favorites menu
