FEATURE REQUEST

I would like the Notes text context menu to make its editing target clearer,
particularly when working with long notes and multiline selections.

PROPOSED BEHAVIOR

1. With no text selected, right-click places the text cursor at the clicked
position and opens the menu there. Paste then uses that position.

2. Right-clicking inside selected text preserves the selection and opens the
menu beside the visible line that was clicked.

3. Right-clicking outside selected text clears the selection without deleting
anything, moves the cursor to the clicked position and opens the menu there.

4. For a multiline selection, the menu anchors near the clicked, visible
portion of the selection.

5. Scrolling closes the menu so it cannot remain attached to an outdated
position.

6. Clicking another note or outside the editor clears the previous selection.
Interacting with the note's own context menu or formatting toolbar preserves
the selection for editing.

7. Normal popup positioning keeps the menu visible near screen edges.

EXISTING FUNCTIONALITY

All existing menu actions, shortcuts and formatting controls should remain
available, including Paste with Full Formatting and Remove Formatting.

LOCAL PROTOTYPE

A local prototype implementing these behaviors is available. I would appreciate
feedback on consistency with KDE's editing conventions, keyboard interaction
and accessibility before preparing an upstream contribution.

The scroll-dependent positioning defect is tracked separately in bug 527703 and
can be addressed independently of these interaction changes.
