A screenshot of two Dolphin listers

I’m using a fuse.mergerfs mount with two source directories:

Merged mount: /mnt/mymerged
Branch 1: /mnt/for-merge-1
Branch 2: /mnt/for-merge-2
A subfolder named folder Sro contains a .directory file with the following
content, in the merged view and in both branches:

[Desktop Entry]
Icon=folder-red
When I open either branch directly in Dolphin, Sro appears red. When I open
/mnt/mymerged, the same folder appears with its default icon. Folder colors
work normally on other drives on my system.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Mount two directories using fuse.mergerfs at /mnt/mymerged.
2. Create a Sro folder in each branch and add the .directory file shown above.
3. Open /mnt/for-merge-1 or /mnt/for-merge-2 in Dolphin. Sro appears red.
4. Open /mnt/mymerged in Dolphin. Sro appears with its default color.

OBSERVED RESULT
Folder is default color in /mnt/mymerged/Sro

EXPECTED RESULT
Folder is red color in /mnt/mymerged/Sro
