            Bug ID: 527856
Summary: HIC language detection broke on ios 15.1. Due to
broken OS software changes, I'm recommending a

DESCRIPTION
App language defaults to Hebrew instead of English (en-GB) on iOS. The device
region and language are explicitly set to English (UK). This appears to be an
OS-level API fallback failure (en-GB failing to fall back to en), resulting in
the app defaulting to the first available localization file (Hebrew).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open the app on ios 15.1 after a long time owning the device.
2. scratch your head and show your friend the settings menu that clearly says
English and the app that's in incomprehensible Hebrew.
3. profit

OBSERVED RESULT
the language doesn't default to standard en or equivalent fallback despite
region/language settings.

EXPECTED RESULT
The language should gracefully fall back to the device defaults.
Additionally, I would like a layout considered to subvert Apple's HIG
requirements when their localization API fails on older devices. Language is an
application state, not an OS operation. KDE Connect can support user choice by
implementing an in-app language selector (Settings -> Language -> Device
Default / Custom) rather than relying on a broken OS fallback. This is
documented behavior. I've attempted standard steps to resolve this without
resolution.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

terminal window): 15.1
