Input Tester is using SDL to interface with the controller. You can tell
because there is no 2nd trackpad input which is a common bug from incomplete
implimentation of SDL.

DESCRIPTION
In happenstance with how the Steam Controller's Lizard Mode input is enabled
and disabled, having the System Setting open runs the built-in input tester
causing Lizard Mode to be unresponsive.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect a Steam Controller and make sure Steam is not running to obtain
Lizard Mode input.
2. Open System Settings app.
3. Use the Steam Controller's trackpad or other buttons.

OBSERVED RESULT
The Steam Controller will become unresponsive.

EXPECTED RESULT
Steam Controller Lizard Mode functions normally. Maybe disabled when the Game
Controller menu is opened to run the input tester, but works outside of that.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: CachyOS Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.8.1
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.31.0
Qt Version: 6.12.0
Kernel Version: 7.3.0-4-cachyos (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 12 × AMD Custom CPU 1772
Memory: 16 GiB of RAM (15.5 GiB usable)
Graphics Processor: AMD Steam Machine

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Any controllers which switch modes based on how it's interfaced will have
similar behavior. The Steam Controller is the only controller I have that
exhibits this problem as of writing.
I am unsure who is best to fix this issue. In any case, both KDE and Steam
would prefer best compatibility with each other's products and so doing nothing
is disincentivized.
