I cannot reproduce in 26.08.2 Flatpak on Pop!_OS with COSMIC.

This report is for a five-year-old version, and the switch to Qt6 may have
solved the scrolling issue on its own. Closing as RESOLVED-WORKSFORME.

If I misunderstood the issue, feel free to re-open it and provide screenshots
or screen recordings for better illustration. Thanks!
