And sorry for the late response. The filter adjustment using the slider is coarse simply because the slider has to cover a huge range (0-40000 with one decimal). You can click in the value field and then use the mouse wheel to adjust in increments of 4, 20 (with CTRL), 40 (with SHIFT).
