--- Comment #2 from Cherkah <[email protected]> --- The use case involves the bulk management of Flatpak permissions. The KCM (KDE Control Module) is the dedicated tool for Flatpak permissions, but it also lists non-Flatpak applications, which obscures the specific group I am interested in. It is possible to access the permission settings for a Flatpak directly via Discover, and this type of application is becoming increasingly common. When testing Flatpaks, I like to ensure that all my Flatpak applications have consistent permissions. It would be helpful to spare the user from having to navigate a mixed list. For instance, if the same application is installed both as an RPM and as a Flatpak, it appears twice in the list with no visible distinction. Therefore, I believe that visual grouping (or filtering by type) would allow me to treat this group as a single entity, without needing to recall the name of every individual application—in most cases, users identify applications by their icons (even when presented with a selection of just five)—and the search field does not address this need for a categorized view. For comparison, the application launcher offers categorized groupings; the permissions KCM, by contrast, would only need two such categories. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
