And sorry for the late response. You know that you can create an Alpha Shape (Mask) with feathering, add a Gamma or Brightness filter, and close the sandwich with Mask Apply. That should allow you to adjust the bright center. You can stack this in case the edges need increasing gamma. I know this is not a push-a-button-and-be-done solution but, hey, what is in video editing? ;-) BTW, all effects and filters are coming from MLT, frei0r, or ffmpeg (avfilter), so any request for new or changed effects need to be made in their respective forums or discussion platforms.
